PAOLI – Bedford North Lawrence recorded five impressive wins while dominating the Paoli Duals during high school wrestling action on Saturday.
The Stars stopped Mitchell (54-28), Providence Cristo Rey (60-24), Paoli (48-33), Clarksville (54-21) and North Harrison (48-36).
BNL’s Junior Arellano went 5-0 with four pins at 285, Ethan Stancombe was 5-0 with four pins at 152, Jorj Filler was 5-0 with three pins at 126, and Jayden Johnson was 5-0 with three pins at 120.
“As I told the wrestlers, the better we get, the higher my expectations get,” BNL coach Chris Branam said. “It’s nice that we’re to a place where we can wrestle less than our best and still end the day 5-0. Our wrestlers know that we’ve got work to do, because regardless of the team scores, I know all of these kids have potential they haven’t hit yet. I believe in my wrestlers and I want them to believe in themselves.”
BNL will host Pike Central on Tuesday.
