2023 Renewable Energy Day at the Indiana Statehouse

INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers from around the state will gather at the Indiana Statehouse on Jan. 26 to fight for their energy rights at the fourth annual Renewable Energy Day.

The event will be in-person, but the press conference will stream live on the Hoosier Environmental Council’s Facebook page. 

Attendees will meet with legislators in the morning and afternoon with lunch and a press conference featuring policymakers and advocates in between. This year’s event also will feature a prayer vigil in the morning and a time for participating organizations to share their clean energy story and priorities from the main stage.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AT THE INDIANA STATEHOUSE

9 a.m. – Prayer vigil for clean energy led by Environmental Energy Network

9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. – Assemble on the second floor at the Statehouse for renewable energy fair and meetings with legislators; time for organizations to share their priorities from the main stage. 

11 a.m. – Lunch

12 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. -Press conference and program calling for stronger renewable energy policies on the second floor of the Statehouse. Speakers will include:
