Speedster gets stopped and then arrested for drugs

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, December 29th, Washington Police stopped a vehicle and located drugs.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. Captain Matthew Stanley with the Washington Police Department witnessed a vehicle traveling north on State Road 57 and George Street that was traveling at 89 miles per hour.

After stopping the vehicle officers located narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested John Monroe, 24, of Depauw, and transported him to the Daviess County Jail on charges of reckless driving, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
