John Mark Baxter, 57, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at his residence.
Born on March 19, 1965, he was the son of Robert and Mary (Craig) Baxter. John was a former member of the Eagles and the Moose.
Surviving John is his mother, Mary (who passed on December 4, 2022); one sister, Pamela (Paul) Brown of Bedford; five brothers, Emmanuel (Phyllis) Barnes, and Paul Barnes, both of Bedford, Lloyd of St. Louis, Missouri, Robert Baxter of Austin, Texas, and Larry Walters of Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, Robert; brother, William Barnes; and two sisters, Teresa Baxter and Mary Hoskins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. Burial will follow at the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel on Friday, December 9,
2022.
