Man leads police on a multi-county pursuit, injures deputy, and is arrested

BLOOMFIELD – One man faces several charges in multiple counties following a vehicle pursuit Saturday that left an officer with minor injuries.

At approximately 6:57 p.m., Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Sergeant Jordan Allor and Deputy Logan Milligan came into contact with a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Cody Reeves on Lawerence Hollow Drive.

After approximately half a mile, the vehicle stopped in a yard on Lawrence Hollow Drive. Reeve then took off again driving then through the yard and then south on Lawrence Hollow Drive.

While traveling south on Lawrence Hollow Drive, Reeves attempted to hit a Sheriff’s Deputy vehicle that was responding to the pursuit head-on.

Once out of Lawrence Hollow, Reeves fled east on State Road 445 East, then north on State Road 45 where his vehicle crossed the center line driving into oncoming traffic.

Once in Bloomington, Reeves drove into the Circle K parking lot at the intersection of West State Road 45 and Leonard Springs Road. He then drove out of the parking lot onto Leonard Springs Road and
turned east onto West State Road 45/Bloomfield Road. Reeves then turned into the Bloomington Walmart parking lot.

Reeves continued driving around the parking lot through open parking spaces and around the shopping center building. While in the parking lot, Reeves struck a Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy Patrol vehicle and then came to a stop.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brooks sustained right hand and arm injuries due to the collision. Sergeant Brooks was treated for his injuries at Monroe Hospital and was released.

Reeves was taken into custody without further incident.

Reeves was also wanted on an active warrant in Lawrence County on similar charges.
