Three days later, the Brownstown Police Department stopped Ramiro Regalado, of Seymour, on an unrelated traffic violation. During the traffic stop, officers were told that investigators with Seymour Police wanted to speak with Regalado about the sex offense, so he was taken to the Seymour Police Department to be interviewed.

After the questioning, Regalado was arrested on a charge of child molestation. He was also charged by Brownstown Police with operating a vehicle while never having received a license, and possession of marijuana.

The investigation into the sex offense is ongoing.
