Bloomington Police investigate stabbing at party on North Dunn Street

BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington Police are investigating a stabbing that was reported around 12:30 a.m. Saturday at an apartment in the 400 block of North Dunn Street.

When police arrived they found a 19-year-old man had been stabbed in the arm.

According to witnesses, there was a large party at a house, and “some people had been kicked out due to the causing problems”.

One of those people began waving a knife around. Another person shut the door of the apartment to keep the people outside. In the meantime, a group of those who had been kicked out began kicking at the door and broke it open.

The person with the knife ran inside and started a fight in the living room area with the victim. After the incident, the suspect fled the scene.

The male victim suffered a non-life-threatening wound to his arm and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made but the case remains under investigation. The suspect was described as a white male of college age, with shoulder-length curly brown hair, wearing a blue flannel and a beanie.
