St. Vincent de Paul Pre-K program offers full-day schedule for working families

BEDFORD – With the question looming on where their children can go following the announcement that those working for Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC) are going back to in-person operations, the answer is simple at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School (SVS) Pre-K.

SVS provides a full-day schedule that builds the framework for general preschool programming using formal and informal learning opportunities designed to promote early childhood formation and kindergarten readiness for children ages four and five.

Pre-K classes are from 8:15 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. with additional options for early care beginning at 7 a.m. and after-school programming that is available until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“Preschool students are part of a larger school family with opportunities for interaction with other students at lunch, recess, and with their fourth grade buddies. The PK students at SVS participate fully in school programs and assemblies that are age-appropriate. The learning environment, fundamental to early childhood development, is designed to promote the educational, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth of children,” said SVS Principal Teresa Underwood.

In a traditional school setting, preschool students are exposed to related arts classes like PE, Music, and Art. The extended schedule offers additional time to provide instruction focused on Kindergarten readiness, as well as meaningful learning experiences for children who are not entering Kindergarten the following year.

With over 150 years of educational experience, St Vincent provides a tradition of excellence that is more affordable than you may think. The full-year program is only $4,270 with a $100 book/technology fee, or less than $25 per day for a state-accredited preschool program.

Parents can be secure in knowing their child is making the transition to a traditional schedule in an age-appropriate, challenging, safe, Christian, and loving school setting.
