  • 11:16 p.m. Property damage accident with a vehicle leaving the scene at H and 16th streets at Circle K

Arrests – October 25

  • 12:50 p.m. Cody Powell, 26, Mitchell, domestic battery causing injury to a pregnant woman, resisting arrest, wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke
  • 9:05 p.m. Joseph Biaso, 41, Mitchell, wanted on a warrant for failure to appear

Incidents – October 26

  • 12:14 a.m. An information report was taken in the 200 block of Greer Lane. A woman reported someone was touching her but she can’t see who it is
  • 12:47 a.m. Report of harassment in the 1000 block of Dennison Schoolhouse Road
  • 2:18 a.m. Officers were out with a male at State Road 37 and Stevens Lane. The male was given a courtesy ridge to the 300 block of Shawnee Lane

  • 5:32 a.m. 911 call hang up in the 2000 block of Mount Pleasant Road. It was an accidental call
  • 7:08 a.m. School patrols at Shawswick Elementary
  • 7:19 a.m. Request for animal control in the 800 block of Gunsmith Road for a cow in the roadway
  • 8:26 a.m. Request for animal control on State Road 446 near Humpback bridge for an injured deer
  • 8:53 a.m. Controlled fire in the 1000 block of Beaver Creek Road
  • 9:01 a.m. Property damage accident at State Road 58 East and Stars Boulevard
  • 9:13 a.m. Request for animal control in the 1000 block of WPA Road to check on the welfare of four dogs not being taken care of. The owner of the dog is incarcerated in the Floyd County Jail. Animal control found the dogs locked inside a trailer and will attempt to find out who is taking care of the animals
  • 9:28 a.m. Request for animal control in the 30 block of Church Camp Road for an aggressive dog running loose
  • 9:57 a.m. Investigation in the 1000 block of Spice Valley Road in an attempt to retrieve school property
  • 10:40 a.m. Police picked up a runaway juvenile in the 500 block of West Oak Street. Indiana State Police were alerted because it is their case
  • 11:09 a.m. Citizen assist in the 500 block of West Warren Street. A syringe was found
  • 11:17 a.m. Request for animal control to the 200 block of Martin Hollow Road. The caller wants to surrender a cat he can no longer take care of
  • 11:37 a.m. Citizen assist in the 2000 block of Beaver Creek Road reporting trespassing on the quarry property. The caller also reported the neighbor’s dogs are coming onto her property and bothering the caller’s animals
  • 11:41 a.m. Request for animal control in the 2000 block of Old Farm Road to check on the welfare of a horse not being taken care of
  • 12:01 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a male and woman who have been fighting on Maple Leaf Road. The caller said the woman’s face is “all beat up”
  • 12:14 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a female in the 200 block of Woody Farm Road
  • 12:20 p.m. Warrant service in the 6000 block of State Road 60 West
  • 2:02 p.m. Protective order violation reported at Spring Mill State Park
  • 2:17 p.m. 911 call at State Road 58 East and Shandell Drive
  • 2:25 p.m. Report of a suspicious male in the 300 block of The Woods. The male was going door to door selling cleaning products
  • 2:32 p.m. 911 call in Orleans reporting a brush fire. Orange County Sheriff’s Department was alerted
  • 2:45 p.m. 911 call on County Road 475 East. The caller is trying to receive stolen property
  • 3:38 p.m. Request for animal control in the 400 block of Sugar Hill for a white pit bull that is covered in blood running loose. The dog was taken to the White River Humane Society
  • 2:50 p.m. 911 call reporting a medical emergency in the 500 block of North 4th Street 
  • 4:12 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a blue Ford truck on State Road 37 and Old State Road 37
  • 4:39 p.m. Traffic stop in the 100 block of Dale Street. The driver was given a verbal warning
  • 4:57 p.m. Report of a suspicious male walking door to door in the 200 block of Briar Avenue
  • 5:01 p.m. Request for an officer in the 200 block of South 5th Street
  • 5:03 p.m. 911 call in the 4000 block of Old State Road 37. The man reported his wife sent him a suicidal note via text and she is possibly at Krogers in Bloomington. Monroe County Sheriff’s Department was alerted
  • 5:08 p.m. Domestic fight in the 4000 block of Old Farm Road. A male hit a special needs person
  • 5:44 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a maroon truck at Gas Line and Sieboldt Quarry roads
  • 6:05 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 1000 block of Dennison Schoolhouse Road. The caller reported there were some guys walking around in front of her house digging and singing. Police say the female is off her medication and intoxicated
  • 7:18 p.m. Report of a tree in the roadway at Sorrells and Port Williams roads
  • 7:57 p.m. Report of the door being tampered with in the 500 block of West Oak Street in Mitchell
  • 8:30 p.m. Traffic stop at 11th and West Warren streets. A male was detained. A written warning was also given for a traffic violation
  • 8:40 p.m. Follow-up investigation in the 4000 block of Old Farm Road
  • 9:59 p.m. Domestic fight in the 1000 block of WPA Road
  • 10:07 p.m. Follow-up investigation in the 100 block of Amick Lane
  • 10:09 p.m. Report of a tree limb in the roadway on East Boyd Lane
  • 10:43 p.m. Traffic stop at Rabbitsville Road and Doc Hamilton Boulevard. A verbal warning was given for no headlights
  • 11:59 p.m. 911 call in the 800 block of Ramsey Ridge Road. There was no one at the vacant home
