MARION – Indiana Wesleyan University will celebrate the inauguration of Jon S. Kulaga as its 10th president on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
The inauguration theme is Achieving Through Faith and will include a ceremony at 10:00 am, a private luncheon for dignitaries, and symposiums entitled Achieving Through Faith – Where Faith Meets Work, featuring three world-class speakers at 1:30 pm EDT. The IWU Board of Trustees elected Dr. Kulaga on June 30, 2022, and he began serving as president of the university on August 8, 2022. Dr. Kulaga is a highly accomplished senior leader and lifelong advocate for Christian higher education. He is an innovative and strategic leader and has held a variety of leadership roles before coming to IWU, including President and CEO of Ohio Christian University, Chief Academic Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Asbury University, and in academics, advancement, and student life development roles at Spring Arbor University.
Since taking office, Dr. Kulaga has emphasized the university’s value of Christlikeness, working to develop students in character, scholarship, and leadership.
