Donna “Kay” (Horn) Lewis, 82, of Springville, passed away at 12:20 pm on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Bell Trace in Bloomington.
Born February 5, 1940, in Koleen, IN, she was the daughter of Doren and Anna (Ashcraft) Horn. She married Jerry W. Lewis on June 21, 1957, and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2021. She was a homemaker and member of the Oolitic Baptist Church. She loved to travel and was involved with the Happy Travelers. She had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them and loved playing games. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She supported Jerry and assisted with anything needed for his baseball and basketball leagues.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Lewis and wife, Debbie, of Avoca, and Mike Lewis, of Oolitic; five grandchildren, Sarah Folmer, and husband, William, Tyler Wayne Lewis and wife, Kayla, all of Oolitic, Allen Lewis, of Avoca, Kaleigh Lewis, and Owen Lewis, both of Oolitic; great-grandchildren, Jamey, Molly and Lilly Folmer, Evan and Reed Lewis, , and baby boy Lewis expected in September; several nieces and nephews; a brother, Willis Horn and wife, Rhelda, of Brownsburg; a sister, Lana Buskirk and husband, Bill, of Solsberry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers, Ray, Edwin and Marvin Horn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Taylor Quinley and Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
