No.19 Stars roll past South

Kenley Craig and the No.19 Stars rolled past Bloomington South at Bloomington Country Club on Thursday.

BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence posted a 180-202 victory over Bloomington South during girls high school golf action on the front nine of Bloomington Country Club on Thursday afternoon.

Chloe McFaddin birdied the first hole and paced the No.19 Stars with a 43. Ellie Horton posted 45, while Kenley Craig and Kinleigh Root completed the scoring foursome with 46s.

“It was a bit of a rough night for us,” BNL coach Kori Johnston said. “A little bittersweet. We’re happy to get the win, but we definitely have some work to do to get our scores back down.”

South’s Melanie Southern was the medalist with a 2-over 39.

BNL will compete in the Floyd Central Invitational on Saturday.
