ORANGE CO. – Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation on November 23, 2021, after receiving information from the French Lick Police Department, concerning allegations of sexual assault against a French Lick resident.
The investigation was assigned to ISP Detective Tyler Matthew. The investigation revealed that Larry D. Kalb, 56, of West Baden, had allegedly committed sexual battery on another person. This allegation took place in Orange County.
After reviewing the investigation the Orange County Prosecutors Office asked for a warrant to be issued for Kalb’s arrest. A warrant was issued by the Orange County Superior Court on July 5, 2022, and Kalb was arrested on the active warrant on July 6th by Troopers from the Jasper Post. He was taken into custody and transported to the Orange County Jail without incident on a charge of sexual battery.
