In late May or early June, the overpass will close for approximately 30 days while the contractor completes a deck overlay. The closure will be just west of U.S. 31. Traffic will be routed to the official detour, which follows U.S. 31, U.S. 50 and C.R. 1040 E.

The contract was awarded to RAM in August 2021 and has a completion date of July 31, 2022. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
