Obituary: Marjorie Jewel Keith

June 29, 1937 – April 10, 2022

Jewel Keith, 84, of Bedford, died Sunday, April 10th at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.

Born June 29, 1937, she was the daughter of Clyde Sanders and Ethel Sims Sanders. She married Paul Keith on September 8, 1955, in Lawrence County and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2015. She was a school bus driver and teacher’s aide at NLCS. She was a charter member of the Bethel Baptist Church of Williams. Jewell
loved to quilt and read.

Survivors include one daughter, Pauline Eads, and husband, Rich, of Kokomo three sons, LaRon Keith, and wife Rosangela, of Deland, FL, Micah Keith, and wife Lori, of Bedford, and Mickey Keith and wife Angie, of Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Pamela Vowell, and husband, Jim, of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Corey, Eric, Graham, Levi, and Cody Keith, Jessica Goldburg, and Kyle Eads; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Hiram Sanders, and wife, Patti, of Loogootee. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; three sisters; two sons, Andy Keith and Brian Keith; and one grandson, Leighton Keith.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Steve Kittle officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will befrom 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
