Woman stopped for shoplifting found with a large amount of cash and meth

SEYMOUR – A woman suspected of shoplifting at the Seymour Walmart while carrying hundreds of dollars in cash turned into an arrest on drug-related charges.

According to Seymour Police Department reports, officers were called to Walmart at 11:23 p.m. Monday about two people who took merchandise through the self-checkout but did not pay for the items.

Police stopped 28-year-old Lacey A. Mousa and 32-year-old Scotty A. Barker, both of Seymour.

Police found Mousa with 44 grams of crystal meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash.

Mousa was arrested on charges of dealing and possession of meth, theft, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Barker was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of theft with a prior conviction.
