Sullivan man arrested for possession of child pornography

SULLIVAN – On Thursday, March 17th, troopers with the Indiana State Police Putnamville District and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) arrested 24-year-old Nathaniel A. Privette, of Sullivan, on a charge of possession of child pornography a Level 5 felony.

The investigation began when a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) was received by the ICAC Task Force.  As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained through the Sullivan Superior Court and served Thursday morning at Privette’s home on St. Clair Street in Sullivan.  Based on preliminary findings as a result of the search warrant, Privette was interviewed and subsequently incarcerated at the Sullivan County Jail.
