Search warrant in Nappanee results in four arrests

NAPPANEE – At approximately 12:17 a.m., on Saturday, March 12, 2022, an ongoing drug investigation concluded when officers served a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of North Main Street in Nappanee, IN. 

This investigation began when officers with the Nappanee Police Department and Indiana State Police received citizen tips of suspected drug dealing at this residence.

Just after midnight officers with the Nappanee Police Department, Kosciusko County SWAT Team, and troopers with the Indiana State Police executed the search warrant.  Officers located approximately 89 grams of suspected methamphetamine, three handguns, drug paraphernalia, and pills identified as controlled substances.

This warrant resulted in the arrest of four adults:

  • Ortie Leemon, 45, of Nappanee, IN was arrested for Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
  • Austin Holdeman-Manges, 21, of Milford, IN was arrested for Visiting a Common Nuisance.           
  • Stacie Herr, 43, of Ft. Wayne, IN was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance.
  • Kayla Enyeart, 31, of South Whitley, IN was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Visiting a Common Nuisance, and Neglect of a Dependent.

Leemon, Holdeman-Manges, Herr, and Enyeart were all transported to the Elkhart County Jail.
