LAWRENCE COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation has advised motorists to avoid unnecessary travel during the winter storm until Friday.
Even with the advisory, there are still instances where you may need to go to work or get the necessary provisions for your home. In the event of traveling during the storm, INDOT has a winter travel interactive map that will provide updated road conditions.
If you do need to travel be sure to slow down, increase following distance from other vehicles, avoid crowding the roadways for plow trucks, give yourself extra time to travel, and travel with an emergency kit.
