Karen Lou (Lipscomb) Fleetwood, 82, of Heltonville, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana.
She was born May 19, 1939, in Champaign, Illinois, to Robert and Lora McDonale Lipscomb. She married Everett “Dean”
Fleetwood on January 16, 1959, and he survives. She graduated from Heltonville High School, was a member of Heltonville Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.
Surviving to cherish Karen’s memory is her husband, Dean of Heltonville; two brothers, Adrian Lipscomb of Champaign, Illinois, and David Lipscomb of Heltonville; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding Karen in death were her parents; six sisters, Phyllis Janes, Margaret Eddington, Rozella Lipscomb, Wilma Lipscomb, Joan Lipscomb, and Patricia Martin; and three brothers, Donald, Robert, and Willard Lipscomb.
Funeral services for Karen will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Pastor Taylor Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Monday, also at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
