LCIS meeting Thursday night

FAYETTEVILLE – Lawrence County Independent Schools will conduct an Executive Session at 6:00 p.m. and a Public Session at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday night.

The public is invited to attend.

The meeting and public hearing will be held at Lawrence County Independent Schools at 223 Old Farm Road in Bedford.

Members of the public are also able to present their comments during the public hearing. Each individual will be allowed a maximum of two (2) minutes to make a public comment.

On the agenda:

In his Executive Orders 20-02, 20-04, AND 20-08 (collectively the “Executive Orders”), Governor Eric J. Holcomb has ordered all political subdivisions of the State of Indiana to limit public gatherings and to implement the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Indiana State Department of Health’s recommended viral mitigation strategies. The Executive Orders suspend certain requirements for Essential Governmental Functions that facilitate Essential Infrastructure with respect to public meetings and open door laws, including suspending physical participation requirements by members of public agency governing bodies and permitting public attendance through electronic means of communications.
