JACKSON CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. plans to close S.R. 250 over the Vernon Fork of the Muscatatuck River on or after Monday, June 21, for a $1.2 million bridge replacement project.
The bridge is scheduled to close for up to 120 days, west of U.S. 31 in Uniontown. The official detour will follow U.S. 31 to U.S. 50 to S.R. 11. Multiple small structures and another bridge along S.R. 250 were replaced under the same contract last year.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near all construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
