MORGAN AND CLAY COUNTIES – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 42 will close Monday, June 7 just over two miles west of State Road 39 in Monrovia between Lake Ditch Road (C.R. 530 W) and North Hazelwood Road at the bridge over Robart Ditch.
This is for bridge maintenance and repair work. The 28 day closure is scheduled to reopen the roadway July 2.
The official detour follows S.R. 39, S.R. 42, S.R. 142 and back.
This project was awarded to Ragle Inc. for $459,166. The contract also includes the I-70 eastbound and westbound bridges over Honey Creek in Clay County near the 19 mile marker. This work will be completed with one lane closed overnight from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
