  • Two building permits were approved pending Zac Bell’s inspection of the properties. These include 236 Hoosier Avenue to construct a pool and fence and the second is at 200 Nikirk Avenue to construct a garage.
  • The town council will seek bids for the purchase of water meters. The estimated cost is $156,000
  • No action was taken on the Oolitic Volunteer Fire Departments’ request for Local Option Income Tax revenues. The LOIT funds were done away with, therefore are no funds available for the fire department. The fire department has requested a budget increase of 10 to 15 percent if the town cannot provide the funding.
  • Ten parcels of property that lie within the Town of Oolitic are not on the tax rolls for the town but for the county. Town Council member Jon Broglin will be researching the process that must be taken to put these properties back on the town’s tax roll.
