Karen Lucille Archer, 80, of Orleans, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021, at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born June 15, 1940, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Joseph Emerson Schultz and Nina (Jones) Staggs.
Karen was a nurse practitioner and OB nurse at Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital. She enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee and watching television. Karen loved her family.
Survivors include her children, Tim (Cindy) Melton of Hardinsburg, Cindy (Rodney) Curren of Mitchell, Tammy (Keith) Bowling of Orleans, Roxanna Knowles of Mitchell, Crystal (Dan) Jifkins of Paoli; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandy Williams of Mitchell, Jennifer Staggs of Indianapolis, Lanny Staggs of Bedford, Teresa Schultz of Bedford, Ronnie Staggs of Pensacola, Florida
Her parents; granddaughter, Jennifer Bowden; and siblings, Jack Schultz, Bill Schultz, Roger Schultz, Catherine Ball, Barbara Webb, and Mike Staggs, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at Mitchell Cemetery with Pastor Joel Parsons officiating.
