PETROLEUM – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle (ORV) accident that injured a Wells County man and his female passenger.
Monday at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of the 3000 block of County Road 900 South.
Logan Walker, 19, of Bluffton, was operating a side-by-side ORV on the roadway when he lost control and was ejected. His passenger, Abigail Enochs, 19, of Petroleum, guided the ORV to a stop in a nearby field.
Neither Walker nor Enochs were using seatbelts or wearing helmets.
Walker who suffered head and leg injuries was transported by ambulance to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment. Enochs was transported as a precaution to be checked out.
Conservation Officers were assisted by the Wells County Sheriff’s Office, Wells County EMS, and Nottingham Fire.
