Updated – Two charged in a bomb threat at Vincennes Community School Corporation

VINCENNES – Two people were charged after they allegedly made a bomb threat at the Vincennes Community School Corporation building.

Around 9:30 Wednesday, dispatchers received a call about the possible threat.

The Vincennes Police Department learned the threat was from a three-person text message group. The three people were employees of Sodexo.

According to police, Rudy Lowen sent a text saying to call in a bomb threat for the school administration building. That is when Erica Davis allegedly responded ‘NOW.’

The third person involved in the text group believed the threats to be real and dialed 911 alerting police to the threat.

Police arrested Lowen and Davis on charges of intimidation and false informing.

The Sodexo released the following statement:

The safety and security of Vincennes Community School students is our top priority. We are cooperating with the Vincennes Police Department as they continue to investigate this incident and we are conducting an internal investigation; the employees involved have been suspended.
