Work and Learn Indiana: The Hoosier State’s Internship Program

ODON – Work and Learn Indiana: The Hoosier State’s Internship Program will introduce attendees to the basics of creating a high-quality internship program and discuss how companies have adapted their programs during COVID-19.

Work and Learn Indiana‘s website is a free internship matching marketplace connecting Indiana employers, those seeking work-based learning experiences, high schools, colleges, and universities.

Attendees will also learn more about the EARN Indiana program that provides up to 50 percent reimbursement to employers with high-quality internships who hire low-income Hoosier students.

Guest speaker is Allison Kuehr.

Kuehr joined Indiana INTERNnet in October 2016. She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a concentration in public relations, from IUPUI. Through her previous internships, she gained an understanding of the benefits of experiential learning.

Allison provides website support to employers and students, assists in maintaining the Indiana INTERNnet site, collects program metrics and connects with employers around the state to promote IndianaINTERN.net and the EARN Indiana program. Her overall goal is to increase the number of internships available to Hoosier students.

This webinar is being co sponsored by Purdue@WestGate and IN3.
