State Road 11 scheduled to close on March 29 for structure replacements

BARTHOLOMEW CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractor L.P. plans to close S.R. 11 on or after Monday, March 29, to begin work on the first of two small structure replacement projects in Bartholomew County.

The first structure is located approximately 3.5 miles north of I-65 over an unnamed tributary to Thompson Slough, just south of County Road 850 South.

State Road 11 is expected to close for around two weeks at this location with an official detour route of S.R. 46 to I-65.

The second structure is located approximately 4.5 miles north of I-65, also over an unnamed tributary to Thompson Slough (north of C.R. 800 S.). State Road 11 will close for around two weeks at this location following completion of the first. The official detour will be the same for both closures.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
