MITCHELL – A Mitchell man was arrested Monday after he stole the keys out of a vehicle.
According to Mitchell Police, officers were called to the 160 block of Dale Street after a report of a dispute.
The owner of the vehicle told police she heard her car door shut and came outside to find a man with her car keys and confronted him. She then called 911.

When officers arrived they found 22-year-old Christopher Wilson dressed in multiple layers of clothing walking in circles in the street. Police say Wilson was armed with a long-bladed knife and a dagger which he handed to the officers.
Wilson told police he got into the vehicle and took the keys because he planned on stealing the car.
Wilson then pulled a digital scale and meth out of his pockets and handed those to officers.
Officers arrested Wilson without incident on charges of possession of meth, unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle, and attempt to commit a crime.
