Dining with Diabetes is a series of five sessions, including a three-month reunion session. The program is open to those with diabetes, their family members, and caretakers.

Participants are encouraged to attend all class sessions.

Recipes and handouts will be mailed to each participant prior to the class session.

This educational program and cooking school will help adults with type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar to feel better and to reduce the risk of health complications.

Participants will learn how to prepare meals that are easy, healthy, and taste good. Recipes will be virtually demonstrated. Participants will also learn up-to-date information on nutrition, meal planning, exercise, and how to understand common diabetes-related medical tests.

Diabetes is a very serious and costly disease, but research has shown that those who learn to manage their blood glucose (sugar) levels by eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly, can lower their risks of complications and help to lead a healthier and more productive life.
