Bedford man arrested after causing a disturbance

BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to a disturbance at a home in the 720 block of J Street on Saturday.

When officers arrived just before 6 p.m. they found 19-year-old Jeremiah Cunningham and a female in the yard. Police say Cunningham was sweating profusely and had an abusive attitude toward them.

Both Cunningham and the female denied being involved in any physical altercation.  

The caller told police he was walking home on J Street when he heard the two yelling in the front yard and causing a scene.

He then witnessed Cunningham push the female against a car. The caller was worried Cunningham was going to hurt the female therefore, he approached Cunningham. Cunningham began yelling at the caller and told him to keep walking or he was going to get hurt.

Cunningham was arrested on charges of intimidation and disorderly conduct.
