
(LAWRENCE CO.) – The Lawrence County Council approved several appropriation requests from Lawrence County Highway Superintendent, David Holmes for upcoming paving and bridge repair work.

The bridge repair projects include:
- Bridge 124 – Bridge replacement on Huron/Williams Road just north of Kings Ridge Road
- Bridge 62 – Bridge replacement on Stonington Road – the project will begin in March.
- Bridge 150 – Bridge replacement on Mill Creek Road will be a federal aid project
Total appropriated funds for the projects equates to $380,000.
Bridge inspections will be conducted this year, which is required every four years. The total cost for the inspection is $109,821, which was approved by the council.
The council also appropriated $249,215 from Motor Vehicle Highway and $115,732 from Local Road and the county received $351,000 from the Community Crossing grant to be used for this year’s paving projects.
