(BEDFORD) – Both lanes of US 50 East are currently closed at Maple Leaf Road while officers with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department investigate a two-vehicle accident involving a North Lawrence Community School bus.
First responders with Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department and an IU Health Hospital ambulance are on the scene.
Also on the scene is NLCS Transportation Department.
Students and the driver of the other vehicle were being evaluated at the scene for possible injuries. There were no injuries.
Another bus arrived on the scene and transported students to school.
