A Bloomington woman was arrested Thursday after Bedford Police officers say she stole more than $800 from a friend.
According to a probable cause affidavit on August 14, 2020 officers were called to a home in the 2120 block of Washington Avenue after a report of two unauthorized cash withdrawals from the caller’s debit card. One withdrawal was for $103.25 and the second was for $504.75 for a total of $608. Both transactions were made at the Circle K gas station ATM machine.
The male told police he didn’t make the transactions because he was on house arrest and could not leave his home.

Officers obtained and viewed the surveillance video from Circle K that showed 30-year-old Renee Harris, of Bloomington, making the transactions.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Harris is faces charges of theft and fraud.
