(BEDFORD) – The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook this morning for Lawrence, Greene, Monroe, Brown, Bartholomew, Decatur, Knox, Daviess, Martin, Jackson, Sullivan, and Jennings counties.
Light snow mixing with freezing rain will expand across South Central Indiana this morning and continue through tonight.
Snow accumulation of up to an inch is possible with icing in spots.
Roads and bridges will become slick and snow covered and there will be times of briefly reduced visibility.
Wintry precipitation is most likely to continue through this evening.
Light snow will continue on Thursday with little to no accumulation.
Additional chances for snow are possible this weekend into early next week. While temperatures will continue to be below normal through the end of the workweek.
Very cold temperatures will return this weekend into early next week. Subzero wind chills are predicted at times and perhaps temperatures below zero for Sunday and Monday mornings.
Ice jams may be possible on a few area rivers later this week.
