The City Of Bedford Uses Message Board During COVID-19 Pandemic

(BEDFORD) – The City of Bedford purchased two message boards to be used to get out information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Bedford received $43,099 in Safety and Awareness Funds to help get out information to the public during the pandemic. After the COVID -19, the signs will be used to get out other safety-related information to the public.

One of the message boards was placed on J Street on the old street department property. The other sign was placed on Mitchell Road, by the Lawrence County Health Department.

The message right now is informing those age 70 or older to request for a COVID-19 vaccine and to call 812-849-4447 to schedule an appointment.
