Obituary: Caryl “Lynn” Byerly

November 27, 1936 – January 17, 2021

Caryl “Lynn” Byerly, 84, of Campbellsburg, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at I.U. Health, Bedford.

She was born on November 27, 1936, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to C.L. and
Pauline Comer. She married Dale Byerly on Sept. 1, 1979, and he survives.
Lynn was a homemaker and had previously worked as a beautician. She graduated from Elkhart Central Highschool and had attended Indiana University. Lynn was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Salem, where she has been an active member of the Lutheran Church since childhood
and truly loved working with fellow members to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Due to her love of cats, she always supported her local Humane Society. She loved cooking, especially baking.

Surviving to cherish Lynn’s memory are her husband, Dale; one son, Christian (Lori) Schuler; two daughters, Laurie Lin (Wayne) Munden and Maurisa Byerly; six grandchildren, Brooke, Corey, Zachry, Kennedy, Carl, and Erich; one great-grandchild, Henry Dale Munden; and one brother, Doug (Betty) Comer.

Preceding Lynn in death were her parents; and one daughter, Alice Robinson.

Services for Lynn will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Calvary Lutheran Church of Bedford with Pastor Gary Zakian officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church of Salem and the White River Humane Society.
