Clara Joan Tincher, 88, of Bedford, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at McCormick’s Creek Rehab. and Skilled Nursing in Owen County.
Born May 20, 1932, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Thomas and Glodie (Simmerman) Super. She married Joe E. Tincher and he preceded her in death. She was a housekeeper at Dunn Memorial Hospital and White River Lodge. She attended the Tabernacle of Praise.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas (Karen) Tincher, Jeffrery Tincher, and Kevin (Juli) Tincher, all of Bedford; five grandchildren, Toby (Marcy) Tincher, of Mitchell, Brady Tincher, Shelby (Tanner) Chastain, Jaden Tincher, and Clayton Tincher, all of Bedford; four great-grandchildren, Gavin Tincher, Aaliyah Tincher, Zepher Tincher, Skylar Wright, all of Mitchell; a sister, Bonnie Super Vowell, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Johnny, Gene, and Tommy; three sisters, Betty Glascow, Phyllis Allen, and Mary Super (in infancy).
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30th at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Silverville with Gary Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Day &
Carter Mortuary.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing are required. Attendance is limited to 50 people at a time.
