Monroe County Crash Claims Life Of Individual

(MONROE CO.) – On December 25, 2020 at approximately 8:05 p.m., the Indiana State Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on State Road 446.

A preliminary investigation by Trooper Clay McBride indicates that a 2009 Subaru driven by 63-year-old Paul Bryan, of Bloomington, was traveling southbound on State Road 446 when his vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason.  The vehicle then travelled approximately thirty yards down an embankment, coming to an abrupt stop after striking a tree. Upon their arrival at the scene, first responders immediately rendered first-aid.  Bryan was then transported to IU Health in Bloomington, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Family members have been notified.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
