(BOONE CO.) – A 22-year-old Indiana University student was killed in a head-on accident on I-65 Monday night.
According to a press release from the Lebanon Police Department, the accident happened just before 7 p.m.
Police say 22-year-old Nicole Watson, of Greenfield, was at the 136.2 mile marker when her Saturn Ion, was struck head-on by 83-year-old Bill Rainwater, of Indianapolis, who was driving a GMC Terrain.
Police say Rainwater was driving the wrong way on I-65.
Watson, who was a student at the IU Kelley School of Business, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Boone County Coroner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation.
