(BEDFORD) – Bedford Police officers arrested two people Saturday morning. Bedford Police were requested to the Burger King parking lot after a report of suspicious activity between two parked vehicles.
When police arrived they located a Penske box truck driven by 34-year-old Jeremy Saunders, of Mitchell.

“Because of Jeremy’s nervous behavior he was asked to step out of the vehicle,” said Chief Terry Moore. “Officers received permission to search the vehicle and found a clear baggie with a plant-like substance that tested positive for marijuana.”

During the incident a female approached the vehicle and identified herself as 33-year-old Vea Saunders.
“Meanwhile officers were still searching the truck . a glass jar was located inside a purse with a white-powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine,” added Chief Moore.
Both Jeremy and Vea Saunders were arrested.
Vea Saunders is facing a charge of possession of meth.
Jeremy Saunders is facing charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
