(BEDFORD) – Two 16-year-old females were issued summons to appear in court after officers say they had been drinking alcohol.
Bedford Police officers were on patrol after receiving complaints of people walking through the backyards in the area of H and G streets early Monday morning.
“Around 2:50 a.m. an officer noticed two individuals walking with flashlights. While speaking to the two 16-year-old girls it appeared they had been drinking alcohol,” said Chief Terry Moore. “Both were given a portable breath test with a positive result.”
Juvenile Probation was contacted and requested the teens be released to their parents with a promise to appear in court on a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor.
