LaTonia Jo Baker, 71, of Bedford, passed away at 8:52 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 27, 1949, in Lawrence County she was the daughter of William and Barbara (Mann) Sorrells. She married Leo Frederick Baker on June 19, 1987, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2018.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Phillips and his wife Andrea of Heltonville; a daughter-in-law, Janet Phillips of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren: Cody Phillips and his wife Tanya, Jessie Phillips, and Jossie Tanksley; two great-grandchildren: Eliza Jane Phillips, and Cody Lane Phillips; two sisters: Tamara Mantsch of Indianapolis, and Kelly Smith of Mitchell; one brother, Brian Sorrells of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, William Phillips, and one brother, Jeffrey Burgess.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Kentucky Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
