Two People Injured In Crash At Indiana Limestone Acquisition

(FAYETTEVILLE) – Two people were injured in an accident while driving through Indiana Limestone Acquisition on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report, officers were alerted to the crash at 3:40 p.m.

30-year-old Williams Miller, of Mitchell, was driving through the company lot in the 7050 block of State Road 158 when he dropped a beverage bottle onto the floorboard. Miller attempted to retrieve the bottle but it ended up pinning the accelerator pedal of a 2003 Ford F-350 owned by the company to the floor.

The vehicle collided with a pile of stacked limestone rocks and caused extensive damage to the vehicle.

The truck airbag deployed during the incident.

Miller suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment. His passenger, 27-year-old John Thomas, of Solsberry, suffered a shoulder injury and was transported by an IU Health Hospital ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
