Kathleen Ellen (Stafford) Smith, 94, of Bedford, passed away at 3:33 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born July 9, 1926, in Monroe Co., she was the daughter of Claude and Pearl (Flinn) Stafford. She married Russell H Smith on February 7, 1942 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2008. She was a homemaker and member of the Judah Church of Christ.
Survivors include four children, Russell “Cutt” Smith and his wife, Trish, Mike Smith and his wife, Jill, Ellen Sears and husband, Paul, Rita Hawkins and her husband, Richard, all of Bedford; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Naomi Pace, of Bedford and Linda Murphy, of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ron Smith; a sister, Roberta Norman; two brothers, Dwight and Wayne Stafford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Larry Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
