Ilene Christensen, 69, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her residence. Born November 25, 1950 in Iroquois County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Edward and Anna L. (Walton) Tuggle.
Ilene married Paul Christensen on July 5, 1968 and he survives.
Ilene was a high school graduate, homemaker and previously worked at Walmart and Westview Manor. She was a member of the Bedford Baptist Temple and the AARP. Ilene loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul; five children, Doug Christensen, Debbie Feathers, Paul C. Christensen II, Curtis (Gina) Christensen, and Kathy (Lauro) Obregon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Schroeder; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ilene was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Paula Wells; one sister, Joyce Schroeder; and one brother, Robert Courtney.
Funeral services for Ilene will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Chapel, Bedford, with Pastor Lyman Taylor officiating. Friends may call the same day, from 10:00 a.m. to the service hour.
