(BEDFORD) – Due to the increased COVID-19 cases in Lawrence County, effective immediately, the Lawrence County Clerk’s Office will be restricting persons entering their office. The office is not closed, but only time-sensitive essential issues will be addressed at this time.
Lawrence County Clerk Billie Tumey says if you have a matter at the Lawrence County Clerk’s Office please call ahead, as some matters are being done by appointment only. The phone number is 812-275-7543.
There will be a drop box at the front door of the Courthouse for payments and time sensitive filings.
Marriage license applications will be processed by appointment only. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment time during the week you are getting married.
