Joyce Mikels, 74, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at IU Hospice House in Bloomington, Indiana.
She was born September 8, 1946 in Plainfield, Indiana to Edward and Helen Dustin Cox, and was raised in Woodland Hills, California.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joe Cox. She was a 1965 graduate of William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California.
Joyce was a past seamstress for many local people and a cook for IU Health. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family and cat.
Survivors include sons, Van (Crystal) Mikels of Mitchell, Indiana and AJ (Courtney) Mikels of Petersburg, Indiana Daughter: Amy (Bob) Davis of Bedford, Indiana, brothers, Jerry Cox of New York and Jan Cox of California, sister Jane Devlin of California, Grandchildren: Kaden, Parker, Paisley, Bailey, Payton, and Riley also survive Joyce Mikels.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2020, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Cresthaven Funeral Home located at 3522 Dixie Highway, Bedford, Indiana 47421.
