BROWNSBURG – Bedford North Lawrence fell to Mooresville, the defending state champion, 32-26 in the Unified Flag Football regional on Saturday.
Caden Tolle, Bruce Engleking, Houston Corbin and Byron Kyger scored touchdowns for the Stars, who finished the season (shortened by COVID-19 cancellations) with a 3-2 record. Both losses were to Mooresville.
“Both times we were just a touchdown short,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “But we won three sectionals in three years, so I can’t complain.”
BNL, with only a 12-player roster, claimed the sectional title with a 42-6 win over Jasper and a 32-0 triumph over Loogootee.
